Chelsie: I would like to introduce to you all 'The Golden Phoenix' cupcake. This cupcake is currently on sale  at Dubai's Bloomsbury's Cupcakes store and as the name implies is anything but normal, priced at an astronomical £645 per cupcake making this the most expensive cupcake in the world.

The cupcake as to be expected at such a price is made from the finest chocolate and wrapped in edible gold. The dessert  boasts a whole 23 carats of edible gold sheets, Doves organic flour from the United Kingdom, Rachel's organic butter, Premium Amedei Porcelena cocoa from Italy, and gold Ugandan high quality vanilla beans. With so much Gold its no wonder its from Dubai!

The Golden Phoenix was recently unveiled on a Villari 24 carat gold plated Maria Antoinette Princess Tea Trolley and presented on 24 carat gold painted Empire Morning Cake Stand.

Shafeena Yusuff Ali, founder of Bloomsbury's Cupcakes, announced her intention to make the world's most expensive cupcake early last month and spent weeks perfecting the taste of the recipe and décor of the cupcake and finalised the five expensive ingredients.
